BIBLE AND THE POLICY OF AMERICANS FIRST

When President Donald Trump implemented the Americans First policy after taking office in January 2025 and deported many illegal immigrants from the United States, many people opposed that policy, especially members of the Democratic Party and their supporters.

Even some Christians disagreed with the policy because they thought that deporting illegal immigrants was inhumane and unloving, some even thought that illegal immigrants were images of Jesus and that when President Trump did so, it was against the teachings of God.

Such reasoning is very erroneous and completely contrary to the word of God in the Bible, especially contrary to the priority standard that God and Jesus Christ have set. We should know that President Donald Trump’s Americans First policy is supported by the Bible. So let’s look at God’s words in the Bible together to see what God’s teachings on priorities are.

First, let’s consider the argument that Jesus Christ was also an immigrant and therefore President Trump should not deport illegal immigrants from the United States lest he personally become anti-Christ.

This argument is wrong because Jesus Christ was not an immigrant at all, nor was he an illegal immigrant. There were no immigration laws in Egypt like today, and Joseph had no intention of staying in Egypt all his life. He only took Mary and Jesus Christ to Egypt to escape the danger of being killed by King Herod. And after Herod died, he and his family went back to his country.

Egypt at that time also did not have a welfare program to help its people and immigrants from other countries. Everyone had to work to survive. Today’s immigrants often rely on welfare program, even taking advantage of it. Therefore, they cannot be compared to the family of Jesus Christ.

It is also worth noting that President Trump focuses on deporting criminals among illegal immigrants. The family of Jesus Christ was a godly, moral family pleasing to God. Therefore, comparing Jesus Christ to illegal immigrants is a blatant lie, even considered blasphemous.
