CONDITIONS FOR SALVATION

All Christians know by heart the key verse found in…

JOHN 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

What does it mean to “believe in the Lord”? How can we distinguish between sincere belief and insincere belief? Are praying to accept the Lord and water baptism the only conditions for salvation, or are there others? If so, how many conditions are there? Which one is the most important? Or are they all equally important? If one of these conditions is missing, can one still receive salvation?

These questions are intended to encourage us to study God’s Word more carefully. Salvation is a matter of great importance; therefore, we as Christians should not be complacent about it.
