God is the all-powerful Being Whom no human can see. Yet He still wants people to know Him and understand His eternal plan for humanity. The saints in the past understood the Lord’s desire. That is why they prayed and asked God to give them understanding so they could know Him better and see the reasons behind what He does (Psalm 119:27).

Christians will never fully understand why things happen in this life—past or present—unless we clearly understand God and His eternal plan. Many Christians have questions about life. Some even ask why God allows certain things to happen. But this kind of constant questioning and doubt is not right for Christians. We have been called to be children of light. We should not live in endless doubt and complaint. Such an attitude does not please the Lord (Numbers 11:1; 14:27; Philippians 2:14; Jude 1:16), and it does not help us grow as Christians (1 Corinthians 10:10; James 1:5–8; Jude 1:16).
