THE NARROW GATE AND THE NARROW WAY

MATTHEW 7:13-14 – Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many go in by it. But narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and few find it.

All Christians are familiar with these two verses. Spiritually speaking, then, what is the significance of the “GATE,” and why is it “NARROW”? How many reasons are there in total? And what does the Lord imply by the word “WAY”? How can we distinguish the truly narrow way from paths that seem narrow and righteous, yet are entirely different?
