– According to the Bible, Jesus will come to the world twice: The first time He already did when He was born as a child in Bethlehem. The second time He will come as a King Who will reign on Earth for 1000 years.

– In His first coming Jesus bore humans sins and died on the cross as a payment for all sinners in the world. In His second coming He will give salvation as a reward for all those who believed in Him.

– The first time Jesus came, He gave the world a chance to be at peace with God by believing in Him and live according to His teaching and the Holy Spirit instructions that were recorded in the Bible.

– The time between His first and second coming is seen as a trial period in which people must prove themselves worthy as His followers by living a godly life and eagerly waiting for His return.

– The first time Jesus came, He did not come to judge the world, but to save those believe in Him.

JOHN 12: 47 B – For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

– Because Jesus has come to the world 2000 years ago, so today, in this Christmas season, we are going to study the way Jesus save all of us.

– When talking about the word save, people usually think of the saving from sins, but Jesus not only saves us from sins, He also saves us from melancholy, stress, diseases and misfortune. in other words Jesus came to save us from all of problems of human’s life.

– Because God is the Perfect One, so when He saves us, His doing covers all of our aspects of life.

ROMANS 8: 32 – He Who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?

– That’s why when Jesus came to the world the first time, He said that His coming was to help those who believe in Him to live a fullest life:

JOHN 10: 10 B – I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

– People often thought about a blessed life is having more money, but human life is valued much more than that. Money is not a guaranty to be happy, joy, satisfied and in peace. That’s why Jesus has come to give humans the best blessings we can have.

– One condition for all of the blessings that Jesus has in store for us is we must believe in Him and live according to His teachings in the Bible. Otherwise we can’t receive them.

– In this life and invisible to us is Satan, the leader of fallen angels who rebelled against God. Satan is human’s main enemy and he is always tempting people to refuse God’s grace and committing sins against Him. That is one of the reason that the world has lots of crimes and human’s life is so miserable.

– We know that Satan and his demons never let people to live in peace. They attack humans constantly with many kinds of temptation, greed, hates, causing fear, anxiety, anger, despair, and pushing people into drugs and immoral way in order to forget, to run from reality.

– But Jesus has come to win over Satan and let us share the same victory in the spiritual battle:

1JOHN 3: 8 – The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

– Moreover Jesus also gives us strength to avoid sins, to win over temptation, to stay away from drugs and to live a normal and moral life:

1JOHN 5: 5 – Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

– We know that human life is hard, full of struggles and hopelessness because people are greedy. That’s why humans get stress easily and live under constant pressures all year round.

– But Jesus gives us hope of a better life and while we still living on Earth, He helps us to live a meaningful life of love, self-respect and caring for other people.

2CORINTHIANS 9: 8 – And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

– We know that the world has many kind of diseases, some of them are very hard to cure and often fatal. But Jesus has the power to heal, both spiritual and physical diseases, as they were recorded in the Bible and in real life as some of us have already experienced.

1PETER 2: 23 – He himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.

– Humans always want to be lucky but we all know that luck does not happen often in real life, but misfortunes happen all the time.

– In Jesus we can avoid misfortune by living according to His teaching and the Holy Spirit’s instructions that were recorded in the Bible. The Bible tells us what we should and should not do in this life in order to avoid mistakes, and so misfortunes, that could happen.

– Living according to the Bible standards will also please God and in return we will be blessed by Him with a good life and happiness.

DEUTERONOMY 29: 9 – Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you may prosper in everything you do.

– In Jesus we can have a full blessed life like that, but as a condition, we must believe in Him and try to live according to His instruction in the Bible.

– You can start that life with a profession of faith right now tonight, to begin new journey with Jesus, to turn a new chapter in your life so that you can experience all of promises that God had made in the Bible. You can do it by simply say that you believe in Jesus and want Him to be Lord in your life.

– Then you can start trying to live according to His teachings in the Bible one by one until you feel comfortable to live by all of them.

– Many people have experienced blessings from God after they came to Him and professed their faith in Him, but surprisingly, some Christians, although they have believed in Him for many years, still not experienced His blessing because they have not wanted to live by the standards in the Bible.

– That kind of believing half-heartedly is like a patient went to a doctor, believed his diagnosis of his sickness but never wanted to take the medicines that the doctor prescribe to him. The sickness would never be cured and the patient would never feel better although he already went to see the doctor and believed his ability to treat illnesses.

– From the time the church was established until now, there have been many Christians who believed in Jesus half-heartedly like that and that’s why they never experienced a fullest life in Jesus as He has promised.

– Christians have been warned by the Word of God about that kind of believing and its consequences, as it was written in the letter of James:

JAMES 2: 26 – As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

– We must live in Jesus with the true faith that was set forth in the Bible in order to receiving all of God’s blessings that He has in store for us.

– May God give us more strength and determination in following Jesus and obey His teachings to live accordingly.

– And for our friends tonight, may God give you confidence and courage to profess your faith in Him right away after this. Jesus loves all of us and is waiting for you to come to Him so that He can bless you with a fullest life with happiness, joy and peace from now on and forever. Amen.
