Bible: Psalm 119: 33-40

Main verse: PSALM 119: 35 – Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, for I delight in it.

– As we already know, the first step in seeking God is by going to church regularly to worship Him with our brothers and sisters in Christ. The second step is to read, listen to and meditate on His words in the Bible.

ISAIAH 28: 23 – Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

Ê-SAI 28: 23 – Hãy lắng tai, nghe tiếng ta; hãy để ý, nghe lời ta!

PSALM 119: 2 – Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

THI THIÊN 119: 2 – Phước cho những người gìn giữ chứng cớ Ngài, và hết lòng tìm cầu Ngài.

PSALM 119: 69 part B – I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

– When two people are in love, they talk and listen to each other. No one can love someone without communication. That’s why in this generation, we see young people on their phones talking to or texting to those who they love.

JOHN 14: 21-23 – He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him… Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

GIĂNG 14: 21-23 – Ai có các điều răn của ta và vâng giữ lấy, ấy là kẻ yêu mến ta; người nào yêu mến ta sẽ được Cha ta yêu lại, ta cũng sẽ yêu người, và tỏ cho người biết ta… Đức Chúa Jêsus đáp rằng: Nếu ai yêu mến ta, thì vâng giữ lời ta, Cha ta sẽ thương yêu người, chúng ta đều đến cùng người và ở trong người.

– Our love for God is big, so we must love to hear from Him by reading the Bible more often or every day to understand what He wants and to know how we can please Him.

PSALM 119: 48 – My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

THI THIÊN 119: 48 – Tôi cũng sẽ giơ tay lên hướng về điều răn Chúa mà tôi yêu mến, và suy gẫm các luật lệ Chúa.

PSALM 119: 97 – O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

THI THIÊN 119: 97 – Tôi yêu mến luật pháp Chúa biết bao! Trọn ngày tôi suy gẫm luật pháp ấy.

– God had given His children the Bible so we can know and understand Him. There’s nothing else, so if we neglected the Bible, we would never understand Him or truly love Him. God uses the Bible as one of the measures to gauge how much we love Him and how much we are willing to obey Him as our Lord and heavenly Father.

1JOHN 2: 3 – And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1GIĂNG 2: 3 – Nầy tại sao chúng ta biết mình đã biết Ngài, ấy là tại chúng ta giữ các điều răn của Ngài.

– Couples miss each other when their partners are far away, so they always want to be close to each other as much as possible. In the same way, we should try our best to seek God to be with Him always. Reading the Bible and remembering the verses are some ways that we can seek God to be with Him as He is with us. We should do them with our full hearts to show that we love Him above everyone else.

PROVERBS 8: 17 – I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

CHÂM NGÔN 8: 17 – Ta yêu mến những người yêu mến ta, phàm ai tìm kiếm ta sẽ gặp ta.

– The Bible is so important to us as we are seeking God, so Satan has tried his best to lead us far way from the Bible. Whenever Christians neglected the Bible, their love for God would eventually fade, because they had little faith and someday they would no longer be Christians.

2PETER 2: 21 – For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

2PHI-E-RƠ 2: 21 – Chúng nó đã biết đường công bình, rồi lại lui đi về lời răn thánh đã truyền cho mình, thế thì thà rằng không biết là hơn.

– It has happened to millions of Christians throughout history, so therefore we must be careful not to neglect the Bible. We should treasure it, read it, mediate on it and live accordingly. We should make reading the Bible one of our most important duties. By doing that, He will enter into our hearts and dwell there until the day we get to live with Him for eternity.

– May God encourage us with more blessings when we seek Him with our full hearts by reading the Bible every day. May we hear Him speaking to us clearly through the verses in the Bible until we can hear His small, gentle and loving voice on the day He comes. Amen.
