– Today, there are approximately more than 2 billion people who say that they believe in God and follow Him, but their faith in Him are different to each other. God is looking down on us to see which ones of us are seeking Him with a full heart, or in other words, are trying to be close to God as much as possible.

ROMANS 12: 3 – For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

– God is invisible, but those who wants to be close to God can sense His presence by praying and by listening to His words in the Bible.

PSALM 102: 17 – He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

1JOHN 2: 3 – And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

– God calls those who are trying to be close to Him wise because they understand His love and power. Unbelievers will never understand why Christians are trying to be close to the Invisible God.

EPHESIANS 3: 12 – In Whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him.

Ê-PHÊ-SÔ 3: 12 – Trong Ngài chúng ta nhờ đức tin đến Ngài mà được tự do đến gần Đức Chúa Trời cách dạn dĩ.

HEBREWS 11: 6 – But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

– In this life there are many things that are outside of our control and that still affect our lives tremendously, like natural disasters, social struggles, sickness and human emotions. There is also death, which affects all of mankind. We cannot do anything about it, except accept the reality.

PSALM 89: 48 – What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave?

– We should try to be close to God as much as possible. God will help us face them with peace and well prepared because He loves us and He is powerful. That’s why God calls those who wants to be close to Him wise. What we human cannot do, God always can. He will do things for us in a way that’s beneficial to us. The story of the woman with bleeding sickness is the best example.

HEBREWS 4: 16 – Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

– Another reason why God calls those people wise is because they won’t be lost while following Him in this life.

PSALM 119: 15 – I will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto Thy ways.

HOSEA 14: 9 – For the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them, but the transgressors shall fall therein

– Let’s imagine a crowd following Jesus. With the crowd of more than 2 billion people, there are those who walk close to Him and those who are at the back of the crowd.

– For a while, they keep walking on the same path, but along the way, many things would catch their attention. Eventually, those who were at the back would step away because of those distractions, but those who tried to be close behind Jesus would follow Him to the end, to eternal life.

1JOHN 2: 16 – For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

2TIMOTHY 4: 10 – For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

2TI-MÔ-THÊ 4: 10 – Vì Đê-ma đã lìa bỏ ta rồi, tại người ham hố đời nầy, và đã đi qua thành Tê-sa-lô-ni-ca. Cơ-rết-xen đi trong xứ Ga-la-ti, còn Tít thì đi xứ Đa-ma-ti rồi.

– That’s why we Christians should always try to be close to God and that’s why He calls those who try their best to do that wise.

PSALM 63: 8 – My soul followeth hard after thee, Thy right hand upholdeth me.

THI THIÊN 63: 8 – Linh hồn tôi đeo theo Chúa; Tay hữu Chúa nâng đỡ tôi.

– May God give us the strength and determination to try our best to be close to Him until the day He comes back and lead us into His heavenly house. Amen.
