THE BENEFITS OF FAITH 2

Bible: Hebrews 12: 1-3

Verse: HEBREWS 12: 2 – Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

– We have learned before about the 2 benefits of faith. Firstly, faith helps us avoid being addicted to bad behaviors (like drinking, smoking, gambling, etc).

2TIMOTHY 2: 22 – Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

– Secondly, faith helps us to be happy regardless of outside circumstances.

PSALM 16: 11 – Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

GALATIANS 5: 22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.

– Today we are going to learn the third benefit of faith, which is not being persuaded by propaganda of political leaders and influencers.

– People use their words to manipulate others into doing something wrong, to suffer or even to die for them. They do that to gain profit for themselves, either politically, financially or to stay longer in their power, like career politicians have been doing throughout history.

– For example, when leftist politicians implement their green agenda to make themselves and their political allies richer, they raise the cost of living for common people while telling them to endure suffering for the better good, for patriotism or to show support against Russian’s invasion of Ukraine. They push for war in that country, but make it look like they have nothing to do with it. They deceived the Ukrainian government to join NATO to provoke the Russians going to war, but they make them look like they are righteous peace makers against Russian’s aggression. Many people still remember the Cuban missiles crisis and USA’s reaction to that island and Russia at that time. The American would certainly do the same like the Russian did in Ukraine if Canada or Mexico was persuaded to be Beijing’s ally or a communist vassal state.

– By faith we believe that Jesus Christ died for us on the cross. In return, He asked people to live a peaceful life with high moral standards and to love others.

MATTHEW 19: 19 – Honor thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

GALATIANS 5: 14 – For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

– In contrast, no politician wants to suffer for the common people. They demand protection, privilege, special treatment, and to be above the law while despising common people, calling them despicable, telling them to go to war, or to kill others for the benefits of career politicians and their oligarch.

– By faith, we are loved by God through Jesus: He suffered for us on the cross, despising the shame and pray for us on the right side of God.

– No one in this life wants to do something like that for us. Political leaders will never die for common people. They will never abandon their profit to help the common people. Whatever they do is for themselves only, and the benefits they give the populace always come from tax payers’ coffer, never from their own pockets. Career politicians are tax payers too, but with their power, they always try to get it back ten folds if not even much more than that.

1CORINTHIANS 2; 6 – Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought.
